Why is this blog called 'an ugly fact'?
From the quote:
"The great tragedy of Science - the slaying of a beautiful hypothesis by an ugly fact." (Thomas Henry Huxley)
Richard P. Feynman expressed a similar principle:
"It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong."
Is this a science blog?
Sort of. It's an attempt to try to unpick some of the nonsense that people frequently try to pass off as scientific enquiry.
